What are some affordable blenders?

Today, my brother decided to make a smoothie. And while he was blending it, he got aggresive with the blender and started shaking it and the top part of the blender fell off and broke. My mom threw out the blender because it was useless to only have the bottom part of the blender, but it was her favorite, and only, blender. I want to buy her a new one as a gift. But what are some affordable blenders that I can find at Wal-Mart, Target, and places like that. Please provide prices if possible! :) Thanks, Kathy.

2. Unfortunately, the cheaper the worse off... best bet black and decker. I have one from wal-mart paid $24 and it isn't worth a flip. I can't remember the name of it starts with an O.
