what are the best brand names for blenders?
not something super expensive ($50 or less) but something with fairly high power and that won't crap out on me.

- Kitchen Aid
- Oster is a great brand.

- Kitchen Aid its a little pricey but it lasts forever one of my friends mom bought one about 13 years ago and she says it still works the exact same way!
- Oster
- Waring, hands down. http://www.waringproducts.com/ret/
- Oster and Cuisinart are probably the best brands, but I have a Hamilton Beach that I bought for about $30 and it's perfectly fine for smoothies & such. However, I do have a very large Cuisinart food processor that I use for other things.......
- black and decker. Most small appliances come with a product registration card, make sure you mail it in and keep the receipt. That way if you need to you can contact the mfg. in case it breaks. Most likely they will probably try to fix it or replace it for you. I would NOT reccomend a Sunbeam blender, or any of their appliances, most (for us) seem to die pretty quickly and are not as good as they say they are. Good luck! http://www.blackanddeckerappliances.com/category-15.html
