can you make a smoothie with a normal blender or do you need a smoothie maker?

2. A smoothie maker IS just a blender, but one that's been given a makeover by a marketing department cashing in on the health drink thing. You can make smoothies with any decent blender, just as you can also use a smoothie maker for blending things!

7. Of course. Depending on the power of your blender, I always chop the fruit into small pieces and use the pulse button occasionally. Think I will make one now.
