Can I put whole oranges and lemons in my Kenwood Junior Smoothie Maker?

My husband says that you can't and that I should use a juicer with a 'centrufugal force' because using the smothie maker to do it will either a)jam up the smoothie maker or b)make the drink taste horrible 'cos there will be sediment left. Any ideas?

  1. There's no reason you can't - other than the fact that the pith (the white part of the rind) is extremely bitter and would make your smoothie taste terrible. If you peeled them and put the sections in, then that would be fine. You'd end up with some pulp, but that's good for you - it has lots of fibre.
  2. it ll make the smoothie bitter try without the seeds & the central white part .
