Are the NEW KitchenAid Food Processors better than their predecessors? When i mean NEW, I am referring to the last 10yrs...I have an older try around 20yrs old Kitchen Aid food processor that has been going strong, motors rocks out. The only wear & tear is on the bowl & lid. What's the word?
Are Food Processors a good tool to buy? (like cuisinart or kitchen aid)? i dont actually use one but sometimes i think they might be useful instead of chopping stuff with my knife. i do have a blender which also has the chop and features like that but it's so big i barely ever use it. i saw these food processors for sale at bed bath and beyond for $40 plus 20$ rebate. is that a good price? are they worth it?
Food processor (kitchen aid or black & decker)? Which one is better kitchen aid or black & decker food processor? Or out of all the food processors which one is best. And where can I get them cheap. ~Thanks
Deciding whether or not to keep this 12-cup Kitchen Aid food processor I bought; better than a blender? Hello everyone, Trying to decide whether or not I should keep this 12-cup food processor I bought, and some of the things that are holding me back are: I want exactly what a blender does, but have one, which is liquefy foods -- will a food processor "liquefy food", i.e. make it into a mush? What are some of the advantages of a food processor over a blender?\ Thanks, Ben
Can I blend caramelized hazelnuts in my kitchen aid artisan wide-mouth food processor? If i melt sugar into caramel and add hazelnuts and than leave it to cold on silicone mat, can i blend it in my new kitchenaid artisan food processor?
I can only afford one right now, which should I get first? a food processor or a Kitchen Aid stand mixer? I'm more of a cook and don't bake at all...but a reason why I don't bake is all the mixing involved! Thanks everyone for their answers...I was leaning towards a food processor as well..but I've always wanted the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. It just looks sooo nice. I have a gift card to use up -so I thought since I would actually use my "own" money to purchase a food processor (because it is a handy tool and a good investment)...that I should use my gift card towards the purchase of the Stand mixer! hahaha. I think I'll be practical and get the food processor :o)
I recently just started dating the food processor in my kitchen, any suggestions on how to get her into bed? i really feel we're ready to take our relationship to the next level if you *ahem* know what i mean... the only problem is that i've never been intimate with a food processor, any body got any good pointers?..

What do you use your mini food processor for? I just ordered a Kitchen Aid mini food processor. For those of you that already have one, what do you use it for?
Deciding on whether or not to buy kitchen aid 12-cup ultrawide mouth food processor. Share your thoughts! Hello everyone, Thanks for taking the time to reply to my query, I appreciate all responses! What would you say of the kitchen aid 12 cup ultra wide mouth food processor? I have heard mixed reviews as to the ultra wide mouth, that it doesn't allow for good liquid amounts. I've also heard that the way the ultrawide mouth is positioned makes it so its processing capacity jar (12 cups) is more like one for 6 cups or less. Please share your thoughts, reviews, etc. I prefer personal reviews, and ones that are suited to my question about the ultra wide mouth feeding tube. Thank you so much! Av
Which food processor is better KItchen Aid or Cuisinart? Iam planning to buy a food processor and i got 2 good deals at macys. now am just confused about which one would be better. There's Cuisinart 12 cup food processor which is priced at $127 in clearance. and then there's KitchenAid 9 cup food processor for 149. cos of the price am leaning towards cuisinart but am not really sure how it would be. the main reason am buying a food processor is Iam really tired of kneading dough for bread and pizza. Andthe constant cutting andchopping and slicing is becoming unbearable. I do cook an awful lot. Please do give your opinions based on the noise the processor makes and stuff i've heard that cuisinart parts are made of cheap stuff and it keeps breaking. Also that its noisier. Is it true?
What's your most used kitchen devices + least used kitchen equipment(aside from the general pots and pans)? I noticed ppl. have a collection of things in the kitchen we never use anyway (choppers/food processors, bread makers, special pancake "poppers," rotisserie, george foreman grills...). Was wondering what is bought in abundance for the kitchen but hardly used in your region?
Is anyone familiar with Kitchen Aid's KFP715[WH] Food Processor? This particular product is recommended by CR (on-line); it is at a comfortable price range--my only true concern is noise pollution... I am hoping that at least one Yahoo Answers' member could tell me that he/she has used this processor and that it is quiet (comparable to those in the $100 - $300 price range).
Do I really need a food processor for this? Or can I do it manually? "Blend the cream cheese, sugar, and sour cream together in the food processor until smooth. Scrape down the sides, as needed. Add the eggs and pulse until just incorporated. With the food processor running, pour the chocolate into the wet ingredients and mix until smooth." I'm following a recipe for this cheesecake: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/chocolate-cheesecake-candy-cane-bars-recipe2/index.html Oh, right, I have a hand mixer too. Sorry.
How to chose a blender or a food processor? I am searching for the ultimate blender or food processor; I would ultimately like to find ONE kitchen gadget that does it all, rather than having a processor and a blender and who knows what else... I am looking for a machine that, beyond making smoothies and the other obvious stuff, for example can: Grind or liquify dried fruits and nuts; kneed dough; whip cream; chop vegetables; and lots more.... Ideas or tips anyone!? Thank you.
What are the first steps to becoming a RAW FOOD VEGAN? I am a vegan and I eat a lot of raw foods but I am committed to making the full switch and being strictly a raw food vegan. I would like to know what tools are needed to be a raw food chef. I know a food processor is essential, but what other utensils or ingredients are a staple point of any raw food chef's kitchen? Thanks so much! <3 Veronica
What's your favorite thing to make using your food processor? Just got a food processor and am very excited to start using it in the kitchen. I'd love to hear what others love to make with the help of their processor! Please share!
What is the best way to pack kitchen gadgets when moving home? Hi, I'll be moving apartments in a couple of weeks and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to pack those awkward kitchen gadgets? I'm particularly anxious about my blender and food processor, as they have a lot of attachments with them, and I am worried they may break. I'm also concerned about a 'V' slice I have, as it has a lot of sharp blades and edges. Thanks in advance, Ryleigh.
Should I buy a blender or food processor? I'm on a college student budget and have a tiny kitchen, so I want something that isn't very bulky. I'm leaning toward buying a food processor because I want to use it mostly to chop, mince and dice foods but I'd also like to be able to make smoothies. Can a food processor handle liquids in the same way a blender can?
What can replace a food processor? I don't have this piece of equipment in the kitchen.. is there something that can replace what a food processor does?
Kitchaid Food Processor? what is the difference between kitchenaid architect and just regular kitchen aid food processor?
KitchenAid food processor or a stand Mixer: Which to get? I have enough points saved up on my credit card to get something really nice. I've had my eye on a KitchenAid KFPM770 food processor this whole time, but if I wait 2 more month I would be able to get one of their really nice stand mixers. I don't know which one to get, with all the attachments that the mixer has it can pretty much do everything that food processor does plus extra. But maybe I'm wrong, I haven't used these before. So what is your favorite thing in the kitchen? a food processor or a stand mixer? Considering I don't have room for both anyway, which one should I get?

How to Puree/Blend peeled Apples without blender/food processor? I dont have a food processor or a blender and dont want to buy one, because I would rather manually puree/blend. Is there anything you can recommend me in how I can puree and mash apples using manual, non-electric tools/kitchen devices? I was thinking along the lines of mortar and pestle

What do you use to make baby food? I'm going to be purchasing a type of device to make my daughters baby food homemade. I'm exploring my options but I wanted some reviews of other moms. Options: hand-turned food mill ,baby food grinder, hand blender, regular kitchen blender or food processor, good old-fashioned fork
Whats the best food processor I can buy? I am returning a £250 Magimix 5200 because I am not happy with it. It's useless for making dough (turns to quickly) terrible to clean and is does not even take the capacity of flour etc that it states without jumping around the worktop. I want something that is easy cleaned, great at making dough, looks good and has a long guarantee. Any suggestions anyone? I was considering one of those cuisnart kitchen aid ones but not too sure. Must be good at blending veg etc too. Cheers
What is the best food processor for a large family [of 7] & why would you recommend it? OR should I just purchase an attachment for my Kitchen-Aid mixer instead?
I already have a Cuisinart 7 speed Blender, can I buy just the food processor top? I have noticed now that a lot of places are selling the Cuisinart blender with a food processor top that comes with it. So you can either change it to the blender or the food processor, only by changing the container, and you still keep the same base. Is there something like that, that I can just add on or buy, since i already have the actual blender? For example: http://cgi.ebay.com/Cuisinart-CB-600FP-BLACK-DUET-Blender-Food-Processor_W0QQitemZ330271598771QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSmall_Kitchen_Appliances_US?hash=item330271598771&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 This has both and I only need the additional food processor, but I have the base. Any ideas?
What kitchen appliance do you use the most? Im going to say my food processor. I use it for everything. Even to mix up recipes like muffins and banana bread... Works wonderful.
Where is the best place to find used kitchen items? I am looking for the following items: a stand mixer (not the giant ones), a food processor and an Ice Cream maker (again not the giant idustrial kind). Where can I find (on line?) these items used?

Hummous.... how do I make it? This is how I make my hummous. It doesn't seem to get as smooth and creamy as the hummous that I have at my local lebanese restaurant. It seems like it may be from the skins of the chick peas which don't seem to puree exceptionally well. Please review my process and tell me if I should do something differently to get better results. 2 cans chick peas, drained juice of 1 lemon 3 tbsp tahini sauce 1 tsp salt 1 clove garlic, pulverized I blend all ingredients in the kitchen aid food processor at highest speed.
What all is on your kitchen counter? And how often do you use the items? I have a coffee pot, very small, used a few times a week. A knife block, though most of the knives are in the drawer. A large George Foreman Grill, used once a week. A blender/food processor...once a month. A counter top wine opener, used very often. Sugar and flour containers, used rarely. Clorox Wipes, used daily. That leaves me with enough room for my cutting board and a few bowls for prep work!
How would you group these pieces of kitchen equipment? What category would you use to describe all four of these? Food processor Blender Smoothie Maker Electric Whisk (It's for Food Technology)
What's the name of that food processor? My food processor died recently and I am trying to find one that I saw on a television commercial about a year or so ago. Of course, I can't remember the brand name! I've searched the internet for the t..v. commercial, but have had no luck. It starts out with a woman in the kitchen, using the food processor, like she's doing a commercial. Then, her husband and another couple come to the kitchen door and he's admonishing her about leaving him and her guests waiting while she uses the machine. Does anybody remember it? Does anyone know what brand it was touting? Please help! Thanks!
Does leaving a Kitchen appliance plugged in waste electricity when its not in use? Like a food processor or toaster..it doesnt have blinking light or anything..just plugged in.
How did these might have happend? Think about the technology of food processors and blenders. How is a feedback loop might have improved the technology for use in home kitchens? How a basic food processor and blender works? Why is the size of restaurant equipment would not work in a home kitchen? What might happen if a food processor or blender did not have lids? How did negative feedback might have made manufacturers change the design and function of a food processors and blenders to be used in home kitchens and how these changes would be improvements on the product?
Can I do anything to create oo flour in my own kitchen? Could I re-process it to make in finer in my food processor?
Im considering buying a food processor. Which is the best brand.? what all do they do in the kitchen? I have a large family and want to do more fresh foods rather than frozen and boxed meals. But the chopping and prepping is way too time consuming. I especially hate to cut raw meat.(just a personal dislike) can you put meat in the processor to cube and chop it for casseroles and stir frys? What will make cooking easier for me?
Parent's - what's your favorite thing to make using your food processor? Just got a food processor and am very excited to start using it in the kitchen. I'd love to hear what others love to make with the help of their processor! Please share!
What size food processor for dough? Hi, I want to buy a food processor for many things - but pizza dough is chief among them (I HATE kneading by hand!) - the problem is that I have a VERY tiny kitchen (NYC for you...) and don't really have the space for an 11cup machine...will a 7cup processor handle dough okay (not big batches...just enough for one pie). Thanks!
Which is the better appliance to buy? A food mixer or a food processor? I'm only buying one of them for my kitchen and I don't know which would be best? Im looking to use it for baking, making things like burgers etc etc If you could recommend a good brand as well that would be great

Where can I get information about inverters to use American kitchen appliances in Japan? (60 to 50Hz)? I want to use an American food processor, a 1500 watt blender, a powerful juicer in Japan. The appliances are made for 120 v/60 watts. In Japan we have 100v/50 watts.I need to change the electricity to be compatible with my appliances.I would like a good layman's explanation and information about the types of inverters that will do the job, where I can get them, and prices.

Could someone kindly explain in detail how to steam veggies and fruits correctly so i don't ruin my efforts? Thanks :) Also, what is really the difference between a blender and a food processor?
Food Processor recommendations? Hi I am not a new cook, but I am new to nifty kitchen appliances. Is it true that food processors can slice/dice my veggies for me? Can a food processor coursely grind, say, cauliflower? Can it grind to a paste consistency? Do you *highly* recommend a quality processor? I've tried researching this several times between Google and Amazon reviews, but have gotten nowhere. Thanks!!
What is the best kitchen gadget/appliance to slice even vegetables and meats (from paper thin to thicker)? I've never used a mandoline, food processor, or electric kitchen slicer and the options are a bit overwhelming. I'd like the most versatile appliance with the least possibility of slicing off my fingers. I'm willing to spend money on a quality addition to my kitchen, but I don't expect to slice pound upon pound of veggies every day. I'm really looking for thin, even slices for my new food dehydrator that I can't quite seem to accomplish with my knife.
What kitchen appliances do you use the most? Which ones do you use the most and the least. I don't know how I managed without a slow-cooker, I use it at least twice a week. My food processor on the other hand has been used about 10 times since I got it 6 years ago!
Food processor or Blender recommendation? I have a very small kitchen, so I am hoping to find something that multi-functions. I want to be able to use it to make smoothies, but also to chop up vegetables and stuff without making them into liquid.
please help me and my cousin on some work!!? my cousin has been nagging me at these questions but i don't know how to answer them so please help 1.name a device that is designed to transfer electrical energy into sound energy, light energy and heat energy..but think of three different devices. 2.if you traced all of the energy transfers from the TV set, it would all eventually end up as one type of energy, which type? and why can we no longer make use of this final energy? 3.suggest 2 reasons why an electric motor is preferred for a kitchen food processor 4.suggest 2 reasons why a petrol motor is preferred for a chainsaw. 5. give one reason why using electric motors may not neessarily cut down on pollution. 6.how many joules are in 20 megajoules? thanks and please help shes been so annoying x
How did you recieve your Kitchen aid rebate item? ? I know that I have to wait 8wks to get my food processor, but I called Kitchen aid to see if I could change my address because I'm moving and she said that she couldn't because it was already sent to be processed, but she could not provide me with any other information, like tracking number. I wanted to know if anyone has received a rebate item, and how it came? USPS, FEDEX, UPS? Since she could not help me change my address maybe I can get help from one of them. I really really want my item ( it goes with my new wedding present)!!! Thank you.....
Food Processor and Mixer in one? Or two machines? I am saving up for a food mixer as I love making cakes and meringues (?). But I also love the idea of making pastry without all the hard work. I love the look of a Kitchen Aid or Kenwood mixer, but do either do cakes and pastries or do I have to buy a mixer for one function and a processor for the other? I know that mixers can do great cakes and also bread/pizza dough, but is that all? Thanks people
What kind of blender works best to puree baby food? I'm wondering what kind of blender have you found works great to puree baby food? I have a Kitchen Aid blender that they don't sell anymore, and to make it simple... the thing sucks. I'm just wondering that if you puree your own baby food, what blender have you found does a wonderful job? And please don't tell me to buy a food processor. I'm asking about blenders, not food processors. I don't want a food processor because they cost way too much, and I can't afford it. As far as blenders go, I'm looking for a regular blender that you would use to make drinks also. I don't want any of the little blenders that you can buy to throw a meal in and blend because I am pureeing very large amounts of food. I'm talking like 6 large sweet potatoes, etc.
Kitchen gadgets? We all have them, the countertop grill, the food processor, the blender.....which of your kitchen helper is likely to have the most dust on it?
I prefer personal reviews and ones that are suited to my question about the feeding tube, however all responses are accepted and as much information provided the better! Thank you so much! Av
Will my microwave work on the moon? Will all my kitchen appliances (crock pot, deep fryer, food processor, blender, toaster, etc) work on the moon? This will be the first restaurant and bakery on the Moon and Mars. Serious answers only, please.
Sims 2 food processor ? Has anyone tried to download recolored food processors from simsresources or modthesims2? I always use the same old blue food processsor in my games and would like to have different colored food processors. I downloaded some recolored food processors from simsresources and modthesims2 last night and cannot get them to show up in my game. Has anyone gotten the recolored food processors to work for them? I'm thinking it's one of those objects that is there by default and can't be changed unless you have a stuff pack like Kitchen and Bathroom Stuff installed. (or other.) I have Sims Deluxe, University, Seasons, Open For Business, Bon Voyage, Apartment Life and H&M installed on my laptop if that helps at all. Can anyone tell me how to get the recolored food processors to show up in the game?
Should I get just a food processor or a blender also? I am a recent college grad trying to minimize the cost of me acquiring basic kitchen appliances. I got a good quality multi-cooker ($36.97) and a dehydrator ($74.36). A new food processor would cost me $29.99 + shipping. I wanted to know if I should get a blender also or if the food processor is good enough to do anything a blender would do also. I want to minimize cost as well as space, so I'm not sure if I really need a blender or not. I have no experience with food processors. Will they blend as well as a blender does? For those who don't know, a multi-cooker works as just that. It's a crock pot/slow cooker, rice cooker and deep fryer. The cost of buying each of these separately could easily top $300. I think a device that costs just $37 and does it all is a great deal. I'm using the dehydrator for long-term food storage. Planning to buy meat and vegetables in bulk during clearances and dry them out. I'm also going to dry out the herbs, mint, and tea leaves that I grow on my porch and balcony. It's about $75, but should pay for itself eventually. The blender or food processor or combo is meant for making shakes, chopping, slicing, etc. So, my goal is to find something that will do it all. I drink a lot of smoothies and do a lot of dicing and chopping and want the cheapest trade-off with time, space and cost-effectiveness. My goal is not to spend more than $300 total in kitchen appliances.
Best way to crush ice for drinks? I've had morning sickness and found iced drinks like Slush Puppies really soothing. There used to be a kids toy called Mr Frosty that was similar. I don't want anything big, but would like to have something in the kitchen that does the same thing that takes up as little room as possible. I don't want to pay out for a food processor as I already have one of these but never use it! Any Ideas?
I need storage ideas for small kitchen.? My home is very small and the kitchen is the smallest room in the house (besides the bathroom!). Unfortunatley, I had a really nice kitchen in my previous home and had all the fun stuff to go in it. Appliances, large platters, pasta bowls, etc. I have a wall with really nothing on it. Right now I have a bakers rack but it is a junk catcher and really doesn't have that much storage space. Any ideas what I can do instead of the rack? I have considered buying an antique wardrobe at auction. I'd love any other ideas. I just want to be able to store my cook books, large platters and bowls, crock pots, food processors, stand mixers, ect. Help!
Useful Kitchen Appliances? I want to buy some things for my kitchen. Here are my choices: Bread Machine, Steam cooker, More Tefal cookware, A food processor. I have a deep fryer, counter top grill (useless gift) Mixer/ hand mixer, coffee maker, and state of the art appliances (fridge/stove) and all the basics. I DO NOT have a microwave which I did last year, but I don't use it either. What do you think I should buy next, why, and the pros and cons. I really want the steamer, but I don't know what I would put in it besides vegetables (any ideas?). I rarely cook meat, only for my fiance. I want a kitchen aid, but it is kind of expensive here (I moved to Europe last year), so I was going to put that on my bridal registry. Is the kitchen aid better than this Kenwood? http://www1.kenwoodworld.com/product_detail.php?cat=288&id=732 It has attachments for juicing, shredding, food processing, dicing, ice cream making and more. I cannot pick best answer b/c they are all very helpful!!!
Lemon cookies? I am looking for a recipe for lemon cookies that are small balls, rolled in powder sugar and they almost melt in your mouth. Anyone know a good recipe that can be made in a basic kitchen without blenders or food processors?
I have seen a benchtop kitchen appliance that is a food processor/blender and cooks. What is it? I think the name on the front was Volkman or similar and cost about AU$1800.00
For Indian cooks, what do you consider your basic, absolutely necessary kitchen equipment? Namaste I don't mean the large appliances, like stove or refrigerator, but if you have grown accustomed to any kind of modern equipment ...... ** like a food processor ** coffee / spice grinders ** what pots & pans, spoons, tongs, mixing bowls, storage containers for the fridge, things of that sort you could not cook without ? ** what kind of storage containers for flour, sugar, spices do you think basic and essential ? I have seen lists on the internet, but I would like to know what "real" people feel they must have to funtion well in their Indian kitchen...... thank you so much xxxxx ******P.S. how to make tea and coffee ?? Do you have a tea strainer or a tea ball .... and for coffee? What to use ?? thank you again xxxx
Does anyone have a recipe for a bean dip like Frito-lay used to make? I have looked everywhere, and can't find just plain old bean dip. I would really appreciate it if anyone can help me. (My food processor isn't working, but I can mash the beans, etc, or use my kitchen aide, I think)
