What's the difference between a smoothie maker and a juicer? I've just been given a kenwood smoothie junior maker for my birthday and I've been making smoothies without any problems, but now I want to try making some juices. In particular, I want to make carrot juice, but I'm worried that my smoothie maker won't be able to process the carrots. (ie too fragile or not enough power) so, is there any difference between a smoothie maker and a juicer?

Can a smoothie maker work as a food processor? We have a Back to Basics Smoothie Elite sitting in the back of a cupboard unused. I never make smoothies, but I'm about fed up with my ancient blender and was wondering if the smoothie maker would work for processing food? It's supposed to be able to crush ice, so presumably it's pretty heavy duty.

Can I put whole oranges and lemons in my Kenwood Junior Smoothie Maker? Smoothie maker attachment for Kenwood? Blender/Smoothie Maker- base is stuck? I was given a smoothie maker that was used once. No idea how long it has sat dormant. Now, in trying to get it apart, the base of the plastic pitcher, will not come off. This is the blade assembly that unscrews. It seems just stuck. I see no old food or anything hindering the removal. I have spent the better part of the morning trying to get this unstuck. Does anyone have any suggestions? Again, all pieces involved are plastic. Thanks for the help - the family wants smoothies!!!
